We replaced the feeder that squatted down on me with this one. We installed a second pulley on the barrel and it makes all the difference in the world. I was a able to raise 300 lbs of corn in number 2 on my DeWalt drill. Before I could only do it using the lowest gear. A couple of things learned. 1. The eye bolt needs to be on the opposite side of the winch and inline with the top pulley instead of on the side of it. It still works, but I think it would be better to line it up differently 2. It takes 35' of 3/16" cable 30' would probably be enough, be the stuff is $.26 a foot.

It's going to be a lot easier on the winch and drill. Adding the additional pulley reduces the work load for the winch and drill by half, making everything last longer. I will convert two more over that way on the next trip.
