Well, we found out one thing. Hunting during daylight saving time in the evening doesn't work. Our timers have been reset to DST and go off at 4pm however it doesn't get dark until about 8pm and we don't eat until after the evening hunt. So, from now on, the plan is to eat around 4pm and then go out around 6pm, nothing starts moving until the sun is settling low.

Patsy was just about to pull the trigger on one of three sika doe, when I told her to hold up, a massive storm was blowing in at that exact moment. I was not wanting to clean a deer in a pouring rain. Of course, I had three sika's at one of my feeders also.

We have our feeders set to go off at 5 for the PM feed. We go thru the same thing, but we just eat late. How bad did the weather get there? Saturday morning we had pea to jellybean sized hail for about 15 minutes, 40mph winds and 1 inch of rain.

The weather didn't get as bad as it looked like it was going to. The skies got so dark the area lights came on, the winds got up to 35-40 mph about an inch of driving rain, the temperature dropped like a rock. This morning, Sunday, it is beautiful.
Today is packing up day and we leave tomorrow morning. It is so quiet up here and peaceful! I love sitting in my blind right at daybreak watching everything....only problem is you have to get up so dam early.
