We went up to the “Ranch” last week and loaded up 7 feeders, put out alfalfa and filled up 4 water tanks. We haven’t been feeding for most of the year because a herd of goats moved in and decimated our feeders. We estimated there were about 150 goats. We eventually got in touch with the Edwards County Sheriff and they talked to the owner of the goats and warned him to get his fence repaired. We are not sure what happened, but the goats have not been around in a while, so we are back to feeding again. On the last water tank we were filling the water trailer self-destructed. A couple of the welds broke, the tank shifted and broke the suction lines to the pump. We really had to get creative to figure out how to get 275 gallons of water off loaded. I just happen to have a sump pump, but it would not fit inside the big water tank, this is what we came up with. We were just talking about when that electric pump goes out, I was going to replace it with a gas pump and make some major improvements to the water trailer. Well, here is my big chance.
