Mine was when I was hunting in Davy Crockett Natl. forest.
I had cleared out an area in a little stand of pines, hung up a bucket feeder and put my 10' tripod up right in the edge of the tree line. After hunting for about an hour one morning, I heard a noise behind me, which turned out to be a little four point basket buck. It came up right beside my tripod, my foot was only inches away from it's head, I could have reached down and grabbed it's horn. It stood beside me for 4 or 5 minutes checking out the area that I had cleared out and then backed up and causally walked off.
Let' s hear 'em.

About 10 years ago, when we were hunting in San Saba, I decided to just sit on the ground in the "y" of a big mesquite. It was getting almost dark and two small 4pointers walked about 15 feet in front of me. They never acted like they knew I was there. I REALLY wanted to jump up and scare the crap outta them. lol

I hunted right on my creek one day, just leaning up against a tree. A young 6 point was literally 2 feet from me. He stood there for about 20 seconds and then walked off.

I was bow hunting about 14 years ago and had 2 yearlings and a Doe and a 5 point Buck walk right up to me. The 1st yearling sniffed then licked my elbow. About 2 seconds later the Doe busted me and blew. All 4 of 'em ran off but it was purdy cool.

Several years ago while bow hunting in Eastland County I took an ax and chopped the center of a cedar tree out.I left the stump and the lower limbs that curled upward.I then set a stool over the stump and in full camo(headnet and all) dosed myself with cedar scent and sat on the stool.I had a doe shortly after daylight walk right up next to me! I reached out and poked her in the side! She jumped straight up and ran about twenty feet and stopped and peed everywhere lol! She never did see me lol! Another time, sitting eight foot off the ground in a home made ladder stand I shot an 8 point from a whopping 12 feet!He never knew what hit him.The arrow was a clean pass thru and the deer walked off about 30 yards and fell over dead.I just knew he would spook when I drew my bow but somehow I got away with it!

Loved hearing how close everyone got. It's really cool to get so close.
