We are thinking about booking 3 day fishing trip in Arkansas this spring and thought it would wise to hire a guide for a half day. What is the general rule on tipping your guide?

On the trip we went on I tipped roughly 15% of the trip price. We always have really good trips with this guide though and hope to have many more. 10% of his guide fees fees would probably be fine.

Don't tip based solely on the amount of fish you catch. My brother is a fishing guide, and sometimes he can bust his ass and the fish just don't cooperate. Give them what you think they earned.

I tip on how hard they try and the fun I had that day.Not based on the fish we caught or didn't catch.Up to 50% of cost of trip.
