Whose ready to go chase some large yard birds? I know I am! Aint nothing quiet like hearing that old Thunder Chicken answering a call, then come strutting/running into your sight! The sun gleaming off its iridescent feathers reflecting all those beautiful colors! His head all swelled up.blue with blood red wattles, dragging his beard as he comes.Single, double, triple gobbling answering your imitation of a love struck hen! Slowly turning circles as he works his way in,showing off for that unseen hen as he gets within range.Ka-BOOM! He gets shot down like a teenage boy on prom night! Yeah,Im ready lol!

LOL
I'm gettin' pumped. I'm only gonna get to go twice this year. I love Turkey hunting. It's my favorite. As odd as it sounds, I've only killed 4 Turkey's in my entire life. But I've passed on hundreds of 'em. I get so wrapped up into listening and watching 'em, I forget to shoot until it's too late. LOL I wish I had a dollar for every time I've done that.

Watch where your stepping and sitting! I have killed more rattlesnakes during spring turkey season then any other time of year in different parts of the state.Usually in very low light conditions in the early morning or roosting birds in the late evening.
