Believe it or not I carry a Hi-point 9mm around my house. Away from home I carry a kahr cw-40. I like the hi point, because it is cheap and I don't mind if I mess it up, even though they are damn near bullet proof.

I carry a Glock 22 in uniform, a Glock 23 in plain clotes, and a Bersa Thunder 380 if I'm in shorts. I'm about to switch to a 1911 on duty though when the right one comes along.

I love the 1911. One day I will own a short barreled Kimber 1911 styled pistol.

not going to tell anyone where my Glock 26 or Glock 19 is. I want it to be a surprise if I should need to use it for real..

I support it because I believe it's our right, but I still like to carry concealed strictly for the element of surprise.

I understand what yall are saying. But I look at it this way, if the perpetrator doesn't know if you are armed or not, he/she takes a risk that you are not armed. The risk taken is a good gamble. However, if you are carrying open, not only are you covered in case things go south, you are at a lesser risk of being chosen as a victim simply due to the fact that you are open carrying.

In my opinion, the perfect scenario is to carry concealed AND open.
