While we were up at the cabin for eight days, we decided to enlarge one of the feeder pens. My goal is to keep all the corn in the pen and away from the hogs. The original was roughly 16' x 16' 8- 16' panels makes a 40' circle. The feeder throws corn out to 39' I was going to redo the insulation the day before the front came in....I hope the pipes will weather the storm. Will you come on already!

Looks good!! While we're talking about feeder pens I have a question. I have never used them here. That ranch I hunted a couple weeks ago had them at every feeder. I kinda like the hogs not being able to get in and may build some at my feeders here now. My question is do ya'll shoot through them? The guy that was over the place we hunted said he does and he's never hit the wire. Just seemed a little risky to me...

I've hit mine twice that I know of over the years. Once I hit the wire, once I hit the T post. Both times it splintered the bullet and cost me a critter. I guess that's better than fixin' barrels and legs from Pigs and Cows.

I have tagged one of the legs on my feeder before with a 308, it came close to toppling over.
