What a mess! We finally just called it quits and came home early and we are glad we did, it is not due to clear up until around Tuesday out there and then it will take a week to dry up. It was rainy, wind blowing, muddy, nothing moving and if you did shoot something you just knew it run to the middle of the biggest, nastiest mud hole it could find to die in just for pure spite!

Can't blame you. It's one thing to be raining the whole time, but when you throw in high winds, the deer just don't move much in those conditions. In Camp Wood, you better pay real close attention to the rain, as the river crossings become impassible. Glad y'all are back safe and sound.

A 4 year old in a deer blind will last about 6 minutes (if that long) before he gets bored and gets to banging around, has to pee, drops the binos, falls over in the fold up chair, draws pictures on the windows, plays with the AA batteries out of the radio, eats his snacks......15 minutes into the "hunt" I hear "Pee Paw" I guess I am ready to go"

I'm sorry, but that description had me LOL! Our day is coming. Our 5yo grandson just said the other night he wants to go hunt with us. He's definitely not going to be still or quiet.

Purty, much what he wanted to do was to ride around in in Jeep, in the mud, cross the canyon in water, grab at cedar cedar trees,......and ask me questions...oh well .....what's a pee paw to do?

It was a slop fest for sure. It rained from Weds night until we left. Never left the camper.
